Gorgeous, perfect, dealdy
This knife is serious business, i was shocked, not disappointed mind you, with the power of the assisted opening. the blade will function as good as the best samurai sword in terms of slashing ability. a test swipe cut a foot long gash in a free hanging piece of fabric. thats deadly sharp. As far as penetration, unmatched among my countless other blades. i will keep this knife for the rest of my life, one the few essential blades for any avid knife collector, or fighter. FLAWLESS.

A very impressive blade!!!
First off this Knife's blade is extremely sharp (it will shave the hair off your arm!) The tip will easily penetrate your skin. What I liked most about this Knife is that it can be used in either hand. The opening "Technique" takes a little getting use to, but shouldn't be a problem for most folks. The clip can be installed on either side of the handle. This is a very well made knife that fits comfortably in either hand. I would definitely recommend this Knife.

I love this knife
My husband suprised me with this knife a few weeks ago and I love it. It takes some time to get used to the assisted open and double saftey lock but this knife is great and has a nice edge. It is thin enough for me to carry in my pocket or purse and fits into my small hand easy. I love it.

This knife has but one purpose. It is an excellent fighting knife. I would have preferred a molle sheath but the kydex sheath supplied can be rigged to mount on your gear.

wicked knife
The first time I ever saw this knife I thought it looked weak and disproportional, like the handle was too fat and the blade too thin, but it is actually nothing close to that. The handle fits very nicely in your hand even though there are no grooves for you fingers or anything of the sort. The blade is actually very sturdy and I'd say nearly an 8th of an inch thick, but I would not recommend using it for prying or any sort of daily task. Once you take it out of the package you understand that the purpose of this knife is combat or self defense. The edge of the blade itself is fairly sharp out of the box, but the tip is what I consider the most impressive and would hate to be the guy who pissed someone off that carries one. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is the sheath system. The sheath itself is very sturdy despite what I've read in other reviews, but I ran into a problem with the plastic belt "strap", I'm not sure what else to call it. Any way the genius who...

Almost Perfect
This knife is a show stopper. It's razor sharp out of the box and begging for action. Despite the looks of the handle, it feels perfect in the hand, as if it was just an extension of your body. The knife has a perfect weight, not too heavy and night too light, you can really feel how solid the knife is. The kydex sheath is very nice and holds the knife in place, even when shaken upside down. Unfortunately the belt holster ( if that's what you want to call it) is junk. It keeps as nice grip on the sheath but isn't very practical, I replaced it with a tek-lok and problem solved.Three things that kept me from giving it a 5-Star. First is the bad belt holster that I already mentioned. Second, the knife did not come oiled like my others knives which means the blade could have gotten a little beat up in the sheath, which leads me to my third point. CRKT 2907 Hissatsu
In brief, this is a perfect example where form follows function. The blade is thick enough to feel strong (prying doors not advised), yet it comes to a very sharp point (tip of the blade), hence it is very good for penetration. The long sharp tip is also an intended design feature. Due to the mechanics of cutting, the curvature of the tip presents less contact area with the material as the blade moves through it (which results in less friction, requiring less force = the knife doesn't tend to get stuck on longer and deeper cuts / slashes). It was designed by James Williams for CRKT. It is a tanto design, and according to its designer and CRKT was designed as a tactical knife - read, its prescribed use is for hand-to-hand combat. It is not a utility or an every day carry knife, it is a combat blade designed for that same purpose. It looks great and it feels very comfortable when handled and held. Definitely a worthy buy!

Great knife, not very sharp
It's a great knife. Great balance and feel but, it did not come very sharp from the factory. It's sharp enough to hurt someone but, Icouldn't cut paper easily with it. I had to take out my wet stones and sharpen it myself since it was too thick to use my hand held sharpener. If you're not good at sharpening knives or have no kife sharpening resource, you might want to think twice about getting this one.

Strong
I had just recently purchased the Columbia River Knife and Tool 2907 Hissatsu Knife- this knife is very strong and blade is very thick. the sheath is a good design however, the belt attachment leaves much to be desired- will it hold up in rugged combat? well the knife itself will for sure! Overall a very good and sharp product- only real issue I have is that I ordered the 2907 and I received 2907K- the black one!

Decent for its price point
First, the The Sportsman's Guide (via Amazon) had the best price for this knife I could find at a non-scary dealer. I've purchased several items through TSG and had no issues with them playing games, holding items, charging my card and not shipping etc.The knife itself is what I expect from CRKT: Good design, decent metal (if not the best blade material...again, expected). Length and heft are good. Handle material is grippy. Full tang through grip/hilt. Blade comes from the factory needing a touch up to actually get it 'sharp'. Oh, it will cut from the factory, but its a very basic edge. Even a few minutes on a ceramic shapener will touch it up nicely. Sheath is workable and had a pressure retention system. Comes with an add-on belt loop holder for belt carry as well. Its not in the same category as CS, Benchmade, etc., but neither is it junk. It is a workable solution at its price point.

Good Knife, Great price!
First, the knife itself. The knife is full tang, with a thick cross section made for stabbing. The handle is grippy and comfortable...I was somewhat skeptical of a knife without a guard, but the hissatsu pulls it off really well. The knife did not arrive 'razor sharp', but after sharpening was capable of shaving leg hair(a note to the wise- sharpening wears down the titanium nitride coating on the blade). The shape of the blade is well suited to slashing and stabbing, but would probably not stand up to prying and other utility functions. This knife is a weapon, not a field tool. The complimentary sheath is quite nice, and allows for a variety of mounting options. It took me a while to figure out which mount would be the most comfortable, but I believe I found the right one. The knife is retained in the sheath via squeeze tension on the handle, so the user must apply some force to draw the knife. While this makes for a relatively noisy draw (the sound of plastic flexing...

Certain Kill, Not Sure
The Hissatsu " Certain Kill" knife is 12 " long and the blade is 3/16" wide. It is marketed as afighting knife. The back spine of the blade is slightly angled, but it does not have an edge,and this small 1/16" lng bevel would not be effective edge if sharpening was possible.The blade is 7" long, and the handle is 5" long. The blade shape is moreso like a fillet shapethat tapers down at appx 2" from the distal point. The handle is a solid molded plastic.The handle is 2 pieces that are adhered together, which have a crude nodular texture, there isuseless scrolling in the top portion and bottom of the plastic handle. The bottom tang of the knifeis covered by the plastic handle, which eliminates the handle as an effective blunt instrumentduring close combat. This knife is stricling a direct stabbing and piercing edged weapon.As a fighting knife, it is limited with its single sided blade. The handle has no handguard.I tested its...
